20.2.16- Year of Sorrow
Year of Sorrow

20.2.16.

I wrote about you when I was sad and when I was happy

And when I wasn’t sure if I was either or any

I’m not quite sure if it’s fair

That I never wrote about myself with such loyalty.

  1. I love the last sentence. I’ve been sitting here contemplating and asking myself if I ever write about myself with such loyalty as I’ve written about my emotions. This is great and really has me doing some deep thinking.

  2. I know, right!? We are always thinking about others and never of ourselves. Why don’t we write about what we really think or want to feel? BTW, I’ve felt like the image before. We really don’t NEED anybody, but it is nice to have them.

  3. That’s a message we all need to tell the people we write about! This is a lovely piece, short and direct.

  4. Great formatting and stanza layout. I like the deeper meaning yet the surface meaning is so much more profound. You melded the words superbly. Keep on writing, I’m enjoying your posts.

  5. Wow, that is powerful. My interpretation is that we tend to give so much focus, power, and time to others. Yet, we don’t give those same things to ourselves.

  6. Simply amazing. I love how you have expressed your feelings in just few lines and at times such short lines are the sweetest way to let you know your thoughts!
